The gift of a handmade paper bird can accompany your lovely floral arrangement, a unique pairing, inspired by nature and color.

These handmade cut paper 3D birds measure approximately 2.5 inches tall, with an approximate wingspan of 7.5 inches. From tip of beak to tip of tail is approximately 6 inches. While your bird will be made with the same papers and materials, each bird is handmade and singularly unique and therefore will not look exactly like the birds pictured.

About the Artist

Dorothy O’Connor is an Atlanta gem! Dorothy graduated with degrees in Literature and Studio Arts. Her constructed works combine elements of photography, installation, and public art. She has received grants from Possible Futures, FLUX, Forward Arts Foundation, Art on the Beltline, Crusade for Art and most recently, Fulton County Arts and Culture to present her installations as public art. In 2013, she was artist in residence at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art in Nashville where she built and presented her installation, Shelter. She is a Hambidge Fellow and was part of the Hambidge Hive Collective in 2017. 2019 concluded with a solo show of her photography series, Scenes, at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia in Atlanta. Ms. O’Connor’s work is part of the permanent collections at MOCA GA, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, the Center for Fine Art Photography, Fulton County Arts and Culture, and is included in numerous private collections.
